20,000 Portland Timbers soccer fans perform moving version of the National Anthem
This might be one of the most patriotic things you will ever see at an American sporting event!
Watch as all 20,000 soccer fans in attendance at the Portland Timbers home opener sing an unassisted version of the National Anthem. This has to be one of the first times that the fans sang this song at a sporting event without the help of a lead singer. The Timbers Army is known around the MLS for their unwavering support of the team and they did the country proud with this heart-warming act of patriotism. Props to Portland!
The Timbers would go on to win the rainy match 3-1 over the Philadelphia Union.
